Click’n Backup

Click’n Backup is included in Mandriva Linux Powerpack 2010.

• Click the mdvbackup RPM package for your Mandriva Linux distribution version:
  • for Mandriva Linux 2010 (or 64 bit version)
  • for Mandriva Linux 2009 Spring (or 64 bit version)
  • for Mandriva Linux 2009 (or 64 bit version)
  • for Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring (or 64 bit version)
• Enter the administrator (root) password and accept the installation
• Check you have an active Click’n Backup subscription
• Launch the mdvbackup-monitor configuration tool from the menu: Tools » System tools » mdvbackup
• Enter your Mandriva identifiers
• Select the user mode of your space: backup and/or disk for online file storage
• If you have chosen to back up, specify the files and directories to be backed up and the frequency of backups

Note: We have not yet approved the operation of the Click’n Backup client on other Linux platforms, but we are making the client available in the meantime and we are very interested in any feedback from you.

• mdvBackup for other Linux distributions (format .tgz) (or in 64 bit version)
• Unpack the package
• Check you have an active Click’n Backup subscription
• Launch the mdvbackup-monitor configuration tool
• Enter your Mandriva identifiers
• Select the user mode of your space: backup and/or disk for online file storage
• If you have chosen to back up, specify the files and directories to be backed up and the frequency of backups
